FAQ

Hey there! Welcome to Been There Scene That Records. If you’ve stumbled upon us or returning I’d like to say thanks for checking us out!

Who are you?

We are a small CD label that presses old “core” bands from the 2000’s classic MySpace era to archive the music we all loved as well as get some cool physical media out to the fans.

We strictly do bands/releases that either never made CD’s or are long OOP as well as merch! We work with and pay all bands/members.

Some bands we have worked with: Heavy Heavy Low Low Cholera Winds Of Plague I Declare War Underneath The Gun Moria Torn Within (Ex-Suicide Silence members) And tons of classic deathcore/grind bands we all grew up loving!

I missed out on a release, will there be a repress?

Usually with each release I do some research to see how many cds I should make as I don’t want to sit on a ton of inventory but want to make sure everyone gets what they want. Sometimes I nail it, sometimes I’m off. If I notice tons of people missed out on a release I’m definitely open to a repress as long as the band is on board as well. So there’s definitely a chance!

Where's my package?

I’m a one man machine, but my turn around time for CD’s is fairly quick. Usually I order my releases so they come in right around drop day and they ship out next day or 2.

As for merch, I have my shirts up for a week long preorder (Friday to Friday). Once that closes I order what was bought, then from there it’s about a week/week and a half turnaround time (that’s if the plant isn’t behind/stock shortages).

What materials do you ship in?

I ship on padded CD mailers. I can fit 2 CDs comfortably in one mailer. 3 or more CD’s will be shipped in a box with padding.

I ordered a CD and a shirt, do you combine shipping?

I do! As mentioned above, the CD’s ship separately as the merch is up for a week long preorder. You will be charged shipping for both, which hover around $14, shipping for the cd is $4, shirt is $8, then the remaining $2 covers the mailer & Bigcartel fee.

Will you press my band?

I’m open to hearing anything. As for pressing your band, I’m open to pressing new and active bands, but if you’re an old core band from the 2000’s you get extra scene points! Feel free to send your demo/ep/full length here: [email protected]

Are the songs remastered/remixed?

The short answer is no. Half the charm is the raw sound from back then. Unless they really need some TLC, I leave them OG.

Why don’t you do Digipacks or Paper sleeves?

Because their shelf life sucks and impossible to replace when broken.

What brands do you print merch on?

Usually I do Gildan heavy cotton or something very similar. I’m a big fan of thicker cotton shirts. I hate the thin stuff that’s clingy & shrinks.
