This is one band I’ve been dying to work with as I have been a huge fan since Noise, Noise And More Noise came out. Who remembers when that album came out? They were like the little brother of HHLL. It was so awesome, the energy was unmatched.
This release is a huge deal as DDG has not released a new album since 2010! 15 years ago! Their new album Love Will Set You Free is exactly what you’d expect from the band with a hiatus that long. Same sound just more mature and evolved and it works so good. It’s chaotic, fast, experimental and short. It’s in your face chaos, don’t be fooled by the intro track, this is far from a mellow ride.
Their blend of a chaotic grindy hardcore sound is so very identifiable cause of their sound they have made and has the same energy as HHLL or even TNTLLY. Dave’s vocals are very easy to pick out as they have a unique sound. Guitars and bass are always top notch! Fast and furious while the drums are unrelenting, a nonstop assault.
