well what can I say about this release ?
One of the most underrated bands in the scene back then, I announce BTST024 as one of the many California heavyweights Moria! This release is called Path Of Bloodshed which is a collection of all their demos on CD for the first time ever. Their demo 2004, Demo 2005 and a Demo EP from after “No Light Ahead” right before they called it quits. These were released originally on CD-R and if you were a local MAYBE you still have one? Some of you may be hearing these songs for the first time!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, what was in the water over in California in the 2000’s?? They had THE scene. With bands like Suffokate, Underneath The Gun, Suicide Silence, Impending Doom and tons of others, like them, Moria had the “sound”. The bands were definitely doing their own thing over there and it showed!
Moria was always that band to me that was right up there with the other deathcore/death metal bands. They knew how to give the listener a brutal taste of both melodic sound, as well as crushing breakdowns! Taylor’s vocals are my favourite, he had the best highs/mids but when he decides to do his deeper growl, it just gives ya goosebumps! Super nasty and hits you right where it needs to. The whole band was talented as hell. Their drummer is another stand out piece in the band, he never lets up! The melodic parts are great too, they don’t overstay their welcome, just enough to give you a breather before sending you back down to hell. Definitely will like this band if you’re into Animosity, Embrace The End, All Shall Perish.
These CD’s will be out of 100, but BTST will be selling 50 only, and the band has plans with the other 50! So the only way to get these online will be through BTST!
