Well what can I say about this ? Another band I never thought I’d work with. The almighty ROSE FUNERAL!!
If you don’t know these guys or never heard about the Uno incident then I feel sorry for you. Rose Funeral put out 3 sledgehammer to the face records of deathmetal infused deathcore between 2006-2011 of some of the nastiest tunes to date. They released the fan favourite CKR but really honed in on their sound with their second effort The Resting Sonata which I personally think is their best work. Now, the bands very early work is also some of their best work. They released a demo titled Buried Beneath The Blood as well as a slew of singles they put up on MySpace. Contrary to popular belief, these singles were grouped together online by a fan and titled “Demo 08” but doesn’t actually exist!
Now, for this release we decided to give you the whole shebang and not only add the infamous Buried Beneath the Blood demo but add all the singles as well! Bringing you a release of their whole early catalogue !
Now the artwork/packaging is a new one for BTST as these will be housed in a O Card(slipcase for the less nerdy people haha) Keith once again, as always, nailed the artwork. If you’re familiar with the OG artwork then you’ll remember there being a man’s cut off head with roses. We wanted to extend that artwork as if the skin rotted away and the skull was just left with roses around it and this will all be housed in a rose/blood covered slipcase. I think it captures the bands aesthetic all around and will be an awesome edition to everyone’s Rose Funeral collection! There will be 150 copies of these and they will go fast! SURPRISE, there will be 30 signed copies that will be randomly out in orders if you’re lucky!*please note the O cards weren’t cheap but I wanted to go all out with this release, so the CD itself will be a couple bucks more then usual.
