BTST142 is the cult classic THE MARYROSE ARTIFACT
Hailing from North Carolina, the band played a breath of fresh air of deathcore from an oversaturated scene. They blessed us with an EP called “Terdball of The Century” with 5 hard hitting tracks. They took themselves as serious and non serious as they could. On one hand they played some brutal deathcore with brees, gang chants, chugging riffs, crazy drum fills and the like and then had a funnier side when they covered their infamous cover of Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Seriously, who didn’t have that song on their MySpace player back then? If you don’t know the band you for sure knew the cover song as it went “viral” back then over the MySpace comments and bulletins and being embedded on everyone’s profile!
Artwork was done by Keith Carlson as usual. The original artwork is of a dung beetle rolling of a ball of shit, which we wanted to go in a more serious direction and we found another piece of artwork they had that was of an old castle. Keith took it upon himself to remake this artwork but instead of having the outside of the castle like the OG art, he did the inside of it, showcasing a creepy hallway with bats flying out. The use of his colors is nuts! These pop so well and is very eye catching and one of my favorite pieces he’s done!
